Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (April 10, 2023) - The Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic announces a new annual award to recognize a standout champion of West Chester University's Annual Business Idea Competition. This award will honor an entrepreneur who demonstrates innovation, excellence, and unwavering determination to navigate a path to secure funding, as selected by the Keiretsu Forum judges.

The award is named after Chuck Carter, a passionate supporter of entrepreneurs who valued persistence, coachability, and a commitment to achieving success. His legacy is celebrated by recognizing those who embody these principles and serve as inspirations to others striving to make their dreams a reality.

From Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute scholarship student to Vice President of Entrepreneurial Services at Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic and South-East, Chuck's passion for innovation and business took him around the world. With a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Juris Doctorate, Chuck excelled in a long career running companies of all sizes - from major corporations to small startups. He proudly shared that ‘ he’d been on both sides of the angel investing world.” He brought this experience and insight to Keiretsu Forum and the entrepreneurs that he mentored.

The recipient of the Chuck Carter IdeaXcellence Award will receive a $5,000 investment and an invitation to present to angel investors at a Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic and South-East meeting.
